We know that it’s not ideal when things go wrong. At 1310 we like to be as transparent as possible with our customers. Below you can find a list of issues and fixes we can offer when things go a bit wrong. In situations involving construction to reach your property, this will be priced specifically and a pro forma invoice will be sent before work begins.

Cooling-off cancellation — order withdrawal costs

If you asked us to begin work on your order before the end of your 14-day cooling-off period (see clause 1.6 of our Residential Terms & Conditions) and you then cancel within that period, you are responsible for the reasonable costs we have actually incurred up to the point you tell us to cancel. You will never pay more than the amount shown below for the network your service is provided over, and never more than our actual cost.Each figure below covers both the charge our network partner makes to us for withdrawing the order and our own reasonable costs in placing and processing it.

Early cancellation and cessation charges

Note on early-termination cost recovery: Where your service was supplied on a fixed or committed Minimum Contract Term, part of the cost of providing that service — including matched-term network and wholesale commitments entered into to secure your price for the full term — is incurred up front across the whole term. Ending the service early leaves an unrecovered element of those costs.

This charge is calculated by reference to the remaining committed term and the unrecovered costs of provisioning it, and is reduced ("mitigated") to reflect any costs saved through early cessation. It is not a fixed fee; the amount depends on your service and how much of the term remains at cancellation. We will confirm the amount to you in writing before your account is closed.

Worked example: A customer cancelling a 24-month service partway through the term, having supplied their own router and activated remotely, might incur: administration £25 + cessation £20 + wholesale disconnection £25 + a mitigated early-termination cost-recovery element, totalling approximately £140. The exact figure depends on the individual circumstances.
